The Space Bee Competition is an event championed by the BoDE Foundation to promote the need of students to take STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) courses, as well as celebrate those students who currently participate. High school students will answer questions related to their STEM curriculum, testing their knowledge, and compete to become the ultimate Space Bee!

In the state of Utah in 2018, 2,000 STEM related jobs went unfulfilled. As a result, companies had to hire outwards in other states rather than from within. The BoDE Foundation wants to ignite the flame of curiosity and excitement to look forward into the opportunities of a space traveling future within the beautiful home state of Utah!

Through initiatives like The Space Bee, the ability to unlock the power of our minds to transcend time and space continues. Soon, we are going to be traveling to other worlds and becoming “Space Bees.” Space Bees are the young men and women of today who are going to take us to that future.
